Mangesh Dighe brings 25 years of comprehensive experience in urban development, sustainability, climate change, urban mobility, governance, and project execution.

He previously led Pune Municipal Corporation’s Environment Department, one of India’s largest municipal bodies.

He has a strong track record of overseeing major urban infrastructure projects and programs, including India’s first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, documenting the environmental status of Pune City over 15 years, leveraging international platforms to create partnerships with international agencies, programs and philanthropies like The Rockefeller Foundation, rejuvenating the Pashan lake under JnNURM scheme of GoI, operationalizing e-mobility cell, operationalizing groundwater cell, operationalizing biodiversity committee and successfully steering Rs. 200 crores of Pune’s National Clean Air Program (NCAP).

He has a deep understanding of the municipal system, extensive experience working with various stakeholders, strong technical knowledge of urban environments, and expertise in climate resilience.

Mangesh is a civil engineer with a Master’s in Environmental Sciences.
